So hard to believe that this so called non-profit could possibly be any more of a fraud! The Jacobs Deliverance Foundation spent all of two months collecting donations in front of stores all over Pasadena and surrounding cities raising close to 40,000 dollars for an Easter Dinner... this was what the organization called dinner! After seeing what could only be considered as a total scam! The only thing was to inquire of one of the people that worked for the organization and even the person I spoke with was disgusted that all the hard work he had done for this so called non profit no more than 15 people were fed.... not counting the jacobs family of course....
Apparently the head of the organization James Jacobs has been at this for the past 5 years going from city to city collecting for "programs" that he has no actual proof of except of course what's been made up by his son Fred Jacobs who's history of incarceration is nothing to laugh at, and the other members of the jacobs family that conveniently change their last names to avoid being associated to the head of the organization Terri Rodriguez and Berzette Green that run an adult escort service. According to the person I spoke with the only thing that's kosher about this so called organization is that they are frauds! Try looking them up in the yellow pages for an address and you'll find out they don't have an office! Even the pictures they have posted on their site are more family members simply acting for the camera!
It's amazing that the authorities haven't caught up to Mr. Jacobs after all the money he's collected, he's sure to have some sort of magical way of coning even the IRS
after all as of Jan 1, 2008 every non-profit organization has to not only file a return regardless of the amount of money collected but every non-profit organization has to make their financial statement public for viewing. Either way... Mr. Jacobs will have to show face for the thousands and thousands of dollars that his organization has collected over the years... or if not him I'm sure his son or his daughters or his niece, all of which have been funneling funds into their personal bank accounts can come up with some sort of answers... but it's highly doubtful that they will care to share them with anybody... at least not for free!

It's unbelievable that nobody has been able to put a stop to this so called non-profit... i recently asked one of the people outside of a ralphs in alta dena (the guy was related to the founder) about the easter dinner... and he sudeenly changed the subject! Apparently when you ask these people where the money is going they are told to say that they don't know!
The one thing that I did notice about this person was the smell of marijuana on his breath as well as the bloodshot eyes!
I don't know about anyone else out there but I personally would never consider allowing my childs safety and well being in the hands of someone who's so obviously on drugs!
The guy's lucky I didn't call the police!
If anyone out there happens to come across these guys please make sure you don't give them any money... specially checks since they've been known to commit fraud according to people in pasadena!

Here we go again!!! It seems that these frauds just keep on scaming people in the community! Recently I was shopping at a local store in Pasadena and was basically accosted by one of the people that work for this company... just because someone doesn't wish to give money to someone that was obviously on drunk! (They reeked of booze!) Doesn't mean they should start spweing out profanities at you! I guess the companies founder Mr. Jacobs just doesn't care who works for his company! But then again... look at the companys history! ALL FRAUD!
the sad part of this all is that the other charities in the san gabriel valley that do great work will be hurt by the jacobs deliverance foundations fraudulent activity.! please let it be well known that one bad apple shouldnt spoil the bunch...lie the blame and mistrust in the correct place!you can also report them to the irs if need be but to all those great people out there please dont stop supporting the other great charities out there.

Just when you thought these people could not get any lower, they manage to reach a new level of con! I contacted the head of this group James Jacobs on July 2 about their fourth of July event that they were raising funds for the past month or so and I specifically asked about the time it was supposed to take place and I was told that it would be held from 12 to 6 pm. I can't begin to tell you just how incredibly angry I felt when I showed up at Central Park at 12 noon on July 3, 2008 planning on volunteering for an event I had donated my hard earned money for, only to find NO BODY and I mean NO BODY! there from this group of scam artists! I have never before felt so taken for a fool! I waited around the park instead of being with my family for over 1 hour! And with complete disgust for this group even asked other people at the park if they knew about this so called event and every one answered the same way... they had no idea of any event taking place there that day! or had not seen any body from that group there that day! I know one thing is for sure... if I ever see these FRAUDS! at any store I frequent there is one thing I will be doing... Demanding that the store manager make them leave or take the chance at loosing a frequent customer! If anyone out there in the community is unfortunate to find themselves in front one of these total frauds at your local store, BEWARE and avoid them like the plague! I know I will!

just moved to pasadena and saw jacobs deliverance at a store...talked for a minute with them n well.....very rude and i think drunk... I am a hard working Mom in Pasadena with kids trying to make every dollar count, so when I donate to any charity I like to do my own research on the outfit... well I did my research on these people and I have never been so disgusted by anyone calling themselves non profit like these frauds! I too spoke with them outside a store in Pasadena and they were collecting donations for a Horseback Riding program which intrigued me, so I contacted the LA Equestrian Center and inquired about such a program being held there by this group since according to the person I spoke with and their own web site was taking place from July 7 to July 17 2008. To by disbelief and absolute disgust I got a reply from the LA Equestrian Center stating that these people failed to get the nescessary arrangements in place and therefore no event or program by that group was going to be taking place at the Burbank Equestrian Center any time soon! So I for one as a Mom would like to inform ALL other Moms out there about these con artists, frauds whatever you wish to call them! They obviously have no interest in anything other than taking the money they collect in front of every store in the area and keeping it for themselves! Cause it sure isn't going towards the so called programs they claim to have! BE CAREFUL WITH WHOM YOU CHOSE TO GIVE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO! There are organizations out there in front of stores that actually do what they say they want to do with your donations! You just gotta make sure it's not these folks! I too have reported them to the IRS!

I have personally worked for the Jacobs Deliverance Foundation starting in July 2011. I first met Pastor Jacobs in front of the Rite Aid in South Pasadena and he asked me for a donation. As much as I love to help the homeless/people (since I started feeding the homeless since I was 5) I was broke that day. I had briefly told him the situation I was in (I was homeless). I guess he felt sorry for me and he asked if I could possibly do a job soliciting. I laughed at the idea of being a "pan handler" but once he said that he can help me get back on my feet I felt there was no better action, but for me to start working for JDFC. As I continued to work for the foundation overtime I've got close to Pastor Jacobs. With getting to be so close to him I've gotten to know him more personally. As far as him being a fraud, I know this isn't true. This man is so behind in every bill, and if he was pocketing the so-called thousands of dollars he obviously should be able to pay at least his phone bill (which he struggles to pay for each month.) I don't know if you guys noticed, but we are LISCENSED by not only the city of Pasadena, but Los Angeles county as well. If we were frauds, how would we possibly been able to obtain these liscenses and renewing them over the years? I know that SOME of the people that work with us may have alcohol problems. I told Pastor Jacobs about anyone in the foundation that showed up to solicit under the influence should be suspended and really shouldn't be working for the foundation. Even though they make Pastor Jacobs look bad he still gives them chances. Pastor Jacobs continues to pray for them and hopes that one day they will overcome their addiction. I know if I was running the organization they would be fired in a heartbeat with no second chances, but obviously I am not the forgiving person Pastor Jacobs is. I don't know what happened back in 2008 with the events, but I do know that since I started working for him there has been five events (Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years) and I've attended these events and I've seen the amounts of people in that show up. The range is typically between 200-600 people, maybe not the thousands of people that Pastor Jacobs dreams on it being, but his future plans are to have events as large as that. The food at every event looks/smells so good that even I am tempted to grab a plate! I have fed the homeless at the Union Station and I honestly feel sorry that I have to give them the mush that I would never eat regardless of how hungry I was. Christmas time we had so many toys it was ridiculous we had thousands of them! There were plenty of toys to go around for everyone. One of the problems we have had was finding kitchens to cook in. We had all the food, but the kitchen that agreed to cook for us flaked literally the night before the Thanksgiving event. We ran around everywhere trying to find a kitchen, but it was hard because we had limited money to offer. Finally we found a Hispanic bakery that had just opened on Orange Grove/El Molino that agreed to let us use their kitchen. I myself has had to deal with some harsh remarks that has come out of people's mouths and some has even brought me to tears! When I work for JDFC I work knowing that I am doing good and helping many of people in need. I have NEVER solicitated drunk or under the influence and neither has the majority of us that works for the foundation. Just because there were a few people that may have foolishly showed up under the influence does not mean that the donations they received were pocketed by them. Trust me, Pastor Jacobs have talked to these people and they haven't yet ever showed up drunk again. Anyone that is suspected to be under the influence is now sent home with a suspension. We have received some harsh criticism because of this blog we truly help people in need so stop saying we are "frauds" based on this blog written four years ago.

Im tired of being acosted by these frauds,,,Ive been to the park where these events take place and there is just a small amount of food,,the thousands that are collected amounted to only 150.00 worth of food and very little people showing up to eat..Im hoping there license gets revoked..Please report these frauds,,,,,

Really Eddie? you go on here as anonymous and post some lies? why because they let you go? so how is your fraudulent company that does the exact same thing doing? or are you back on drugs or in prison? it's a shame how people will asassinate the character of a whole organization from personal beef, now I'm not related nor volunteer for this compasny but I've been to recent events where I saw thousands of dollars in food and toys given away, nthe people were nice and stayed until everything was gone. they were clean and courteous. They give away serious meals not sandwiches. like Beef brisket, veggies, mashed potatoes, salads and cakes and pies, I waited for a couple of hours as I didn't want to take from anyone needing a meal more than I did and you knbow what every time the food supplies were low another load of it was shipped in, now I don't where it came from but to get hot meals at a park that doesn't have a kitchen facility has to be a job in itself, just the cooking of I saw about 20 briskets there myself and they were allready in full swing, and how about the fees for hosting an event at the park? I knbow the city charges for permits and the trents and hot water that was being shipped in from I don't know where for the hand washing station and all the other supplies, I know for a fact that this stuff isn't free I saw my dollars in action that day and was happy that I conbtributed, it took a while for me to finally let go I've been watching them for ages even when you were there eddie and of course you may be saying things about the son but you use to get inebrated with him, I thought you guys were good friends they must have really hurt yhour feelings in order for you to witch hunt them like this and as an anonymous citizen and soccer moms etc... well since you're anonymous E I'll be anonymous to....your friend J
This post is obviously from a jacobs family member. It is July 2017 and we CURRENTLY have a woman in front of Rite-Aid on Colorado with jdfc posters collecting money. Well, that is when she is not smoking marijuana at the bus stop not 10 feet away. She is foul mouthed, on drugs, and a danger to our neighborhood. We call the police, they make her leave, and comes back the next day. Problem NOT SOLVED

I've met James jacobs. This sounds like him. I can't imagine he is a pastor. He and his bunch are AWFUL. Not only do they perpetrate a fraud upon the good people of Pasadena, they clear the homeless away from the places where they collect funds by threats of violence and outright thievery. James Jacobs and crew used the address of JACOBS ENGINEERING on Lake Avenue (also on Arroyo Parkway I was told by the company) on their printed materials, because the name JACOBS is prominently placed at the top of the office building and on a lit sign in front of the building. MORE FRAUD.
That was removed from their signage last summer. A new woman has appeared in front of our local Rite-Aid with his posters. She fights with the homeless...the ones that she is not doing drugs with, that is.
Throwing around the f-bomb and calling people racists when they have the audacity to ask her to stop smoking drugs in our neighborhood.
